Leva’s journey began by her mother’s side, learning the art of traditional Persian baking. After moving to Australia, she continued that legacy driven by a desire to share their culture with others. What started as a small act of kindness, giving away handmade sweets to those in need, quickly gained attention and admiration. The story resonated deeply, and people across Australia fell in love with the fresh, authentic taste of her creations.
Leva’s passion for storytelling through sweets has helped Persian culture reach new audiences across Australia from local families to well-known public figures, including members of the Victorian Police and even a former Australian minister. Her vision has turned Levalicious into more than just a bakery it’s a bridge between cultures, a connection to home, and a celebration of heritage.
Together, Leva and Ashraf blend tradition, craftsmanship, and heart into every order bringing people closer through the simple, timeless joy of sweets.
The Master Behind the Magic
Ashraf
With over 20 years of experience in traditional Persian baking, Ashraf is the heart and soul of the Levalicious kitchen.
As a single mother in Iran, she became locally renowned for her exceptional sweets, pouring love, strength, and tradition into every batch. Raised in Rafsanjan a city famous for its pistachios Ashraf grew up surrounded by the richness of Persian culture. Her father owned a large pistachio farm, and from an early age, she was immersed in the world of nuts, baking, and authentic craftsmanship.
Her hands have shaped thousands of sweets, and her time honoured recipes are the very foundation of everything we bake at Levalicious today.
